my resoultion? ………sports!
Well, my journey to get phisically ready has begun. Since I cleared out my head from affairs, I can focus now, in my life. It´s gonna be tough! I mean, most ppl when they train, they go for loss of weight, I, on the other hand, want to put on weight! I need 15Kg more in my body, you can simply have a look at some of my pictures n u will underdstand..
I went for a run, the other day, I managed to run 6.98Km
, which made very very happy!! I haven´t done any real sports besides "working in the restaurant" since I left the army, that means 6 years ago… my distance target for running is 25Km, not a lot (less than a marathon), so I´m starting the gym this week also, to help me develop my body muscles that seem to be missing where they should be
…
In other news, i haven´t moved to my own studio flat, I´m waiting for it to be available in about 6/7 weeks time, so i´m really hoping to move down there soon, so i can have friends coming over, dinners at Xi Wen´s place, and fun!
Birthday is coming, again, no parties this year will be done.. I´m not a celebration guy, don´t even know how to do it, but one thing is for sure, I´m not working!!
I´m off today, so it´s time to get out of here n go do some sports!!

@ Kensington Place Restaurant- war between kitchen and front of house staff!!!
Do i always have to be right??????
There´s a war going on between the waiters and bar against the kitchen!
Since D & D London took over our small company, there has been big big changes, examlpes such as money, food, atittudes, bullying, racism, so on so on~~
I, just like many others that have worked there from before the D&D came have been very upset with all this, though, only I and a colleague of mine are making sure that such changes cannot come into place there! A few weeks ago, during staff dinner, one of the sous-chefs came out of the kitchen and TOOK slices of bread from our table! What world is this that the kitchen comes n gets the food back?? They told us that we could only eat yesterday´s bread.. But that´s not all, food reduced n changed dramatically (porridge almost every lunch, or sausage/bacon in that supermaket sliced bread and some scrambled eggs….) cheap-and-low-as-possible-kind-of-food!!
Anynway, as they did that, i, obviously got pissed off with them, and my reaction a couple days ago was, not giving them a drink after the service, so i had an argument with one of the chefs where he told me i wouldn´t get any more food at all!! (i kept on giving them drinks every day after that),it was simply to make a point that i too can be cruel~~
Yesterday morning i had to throw away 17 whole breads into the rubbish bin, coz nobody ate them… (can u imagine~?)
Not only that, today i was refused to eat the staff food, bcoz of my decision the other day.. another argument i had to have with the same chef, but this time i was already informed by legal professional consellors, where i was told that this kitchen cannot do what they r doing for many reasons. i had to tell that to the chef, and i promissed he would get into trouble due to his adventure with the wrong ppl! i´m too tired of this shit to take anymore from them.. i´ll sue them, i´ll get my compensation(whatever it may be) and then, i´ll quit!! i have way better chances of going up somewhere else, where they value u for ur work, then being at this junkie place as it is today!!
now eat this suckers!!!!

to be or not to be 2:
Well, to be or not to be, definitely is not to be, I am not to get married anymore, i don´t have a girfriend anymore, didn´t quite understand why, but we broke up..
please correct me if i´m wrong, but, i´m an assistant bar manager, i work alot, due life being expensive in london (where i live), i´ve been trying to save up some money, so i could go to Taiwan, to visit YAYA one more time. My company, was sold to another company, therefore ways of payment changed.. the hours of work are the same but, they changed also slightly.. we r a busy restaurant, so i cannot answer the phone everytime i want.. i try to, but i can´t_silly or not, i believe that was the reason for us to break up! she got drunk tonight and she told me she didn´t need me anymore, last week, we had a fight because of it (the phone calls) whenever i can, i try to answer the phone, and she knows it very well! Now, i think there´s more to it than just the phone calls, i truly believe that, this is the most ridiculous way or reason for breaking up, anyhow, that was her excuse…
since i got ready last week to do it, i´m very calm right now, though it hurts, coz i fought for this girl for 3 years to be and share my life with her, the girl that has hurted me twice in the past and i did forgiver whatever the lies she said to me..
Now, more details are not needed coz there aren´t any, so back to the the top, correct me if i´m wrong, should i try to go after her again or should i pack my broken heart glue it all together and move on? i think so…
this…… this is my life……

Chinese Dragons
The Chinese dragon is a symbol of wisdom, power, and luck in Chinese culture. Unlike Western dragons, oriental dragons are usually seen as benevolent and kind. Dragons have long been a symbol in Chinese folklore and art. Temples and shrines have been built to honor them. Through the symbol of the dragon, many Chinese see divine attributes which they aspire to themselves. In fact, the Chinese are sometimes referred to as "descendents of the dragon." The dragon is held in reverence and respect in Chinese culture. It is unseemly to defile a depiction of a dragon. Dragons are referenced by several Chinese proverbs. Chinese dragons control the rain, rivers, lakes, and sea. They can ward off wandering evil spirits, protect the innocent, and bestow safety unto all. They are called lung or long in the Chinese language. They fly in the sky among clouds. Most pictures of Chinese dragons show them playing with a flaming pearl. Legend has it that the pearl gives them their power and allows them to ascend into heaven.
The Legend of the Carp says that a carp able to leap over the mythical Dragon Gate will become a dragon. Many have sought out the true location of this Gate, but none have found it. Several waterfalls and cataracts in China are believed to be the location of the Dragon Gate. This legend is an allegory for the drive and effort needed to overcome obstacles.
Physiology
Chinese dragons have serpentine bodies, four legs, and are usually without wings. They are said to be a composite of various other animals-the body of a snake, the antlers of a deer, the talons of an eagle, the soles of a tiger, the scales of a carp, and the eyes of a demon. It is said that Chinese dragons have 117 scales. They are usually depicted with four toes. In the traditional symbol of the emperor, the dragon is depicted with five. In Japan, dragons are depicted with three toes.
Types
There are nine types of classical Chinese dragons. They are as follows:
- Tianlong, the Celestial Dragons, are the celestial dragons who pull the chariots of the gods and guard their palaces.
- Shenlong, the Spiritual Dragons, control the wind and the rain.
- Fucanglong, the Dragons of Hidden Treasures, are underworld dragons which guard buried treasures, both natural and man-made. Volcanoes are said to be created when they burst out of the ground to report to heaven.
- Dilong, the Underground Dragons, are earth dragons whose task it is to preside over rivers and streams. According to some accounts, they are the female counterpart of the Shenlong and they fly only in order to mate.
- Yinglong, the Winged Dragons, are the oldest of all eastern dragons and the only kind with wings.
- Qiulong, the Horned Dragons, are considered to be the mightiest dragons.
- Panlong, the Coiling Dragons, are water dragons believed to mostly inhabit the lakes of the Orient.
- Huanglong, the Yellow Dragons, once emerged from the River Luo and presented the legendary Emperor Fu Hsi with the elements of writing. They are known for their scholarly knowledge.
- Lóng Wáng, the Dragon Kings, are rulers over each of the four seas, those of the east, south, west, and north. Although their true form is that of a dragon, they have the ability to shapeshift into human form. They live in crystal palaces guarded by shrimp soldiers and crab generals.

Jade Dragon And Golden Phoenix
Long, long ago, there was a snow-white Jade Dragon, living in a rock cave on the east bank of the Celestial River. In a great forest across the river lived a beautiful Golden Phoenix.
Leaving their home every morning, the dragon and the phoenix met each other before taking their different ways. One flew in the sky, while the other swam in the Celestial River. One day, they both came to a fairy island. There they found a shining pebble, whose beauty fascinated them.
|
"Look, how beautiful this pebble is!" Golden Phoenix said to Jade Dragon. "Let’s carve it into a pearl," said Jade Dragon. Golden Phoenix nodded in agreement. Then they started working on it, Jade Dragon using his claws and Golden Phoenix her beak. They carved the pebble day after day, month after month, until they finally made it into a perfect small round ball. In high spirits Golden Phoenix flew to the sacred mountain to gather dewdrops while Jade Dragon carried a lot of clear water from the Celestial River. They sprinkled and washed the ball with dew and water. Gradually theball turned into a dazzling pearl. They had become so attached to each other and both loved the pearl so dearly that neither wanted to go back to the cave and the forest. Therefore, they settled down in the fairy island guarding the pearl. It was a magic pearl. Wherever it shone, things grew better. Leaves stayed green all year round, flowers of different seasons bloomed together and the land yielded a richer harvest. One day, the Queen Mother of the Western Heavens left her palace and saw the brilliant rays shed by the pearl. Overwhelmed by the sight, she was eager to acquire it. She sent one of her guards to steal the pearl from Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix at midnight while they were fast asleep. When the guard came back with it, the Queen Mother was very pleased. She did not show it to anyone, but immediately hid it in the innermost room of her palace, to reach which one had to pass through nine locked doors. When Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix woke up in the morning, they found the pearl had gone. Frantically, they searched high and low for it. Jade Dragon looked into every nook and cranny at the bottom of the Celestial River, while Golden Phoenix combed every inch of the sacred mountain, but in vain. They continued their unhappy search day and night, hoping to recover their treasured pearl. On the birthday of the Queen Mother, all the gods and goddesses in Heaven came to her palace to offer their congratulations. She prepared a grand feast, serving her guests with nectar and celestial peaches, fruit of immortality. The gods and goddesses said to her, "May your life and happiness last forever." The Queen Mother was so excited that at a sudden she declared, "My immortal friends, I want to show you a precious pearl which can never be found either in Heaven or on earth." So she unfastened nine keys from her girdle and unlocked the nine doors one after another. From the innermost room of her palace she took out the bright pearl, placed it on a golden tray and carried it carefully to the center of the banquet hall. The whole hall was instantly lit by the pearl. The guests were fascinated by its radiance and greatly admired it. In the meantime, Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix were continuing their fruitless search. Suddenly Golden Phoenix saw the bright light and turned to Jade Dragon, "Look, isn’t that the light from our pearl?" Jade Dragon stuck his head out of the Celestial River and looked, saying, "Of course! No doubt about it! Let’s move and get it back." They flew towards the light, which led them to the palace of the Queen Mother. Landing there, they found the immortals crowding around the pearl and praising it lavishly. Pushing through the crowd, Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix shouted together, "This is our pearl!" The Queen Mother was so enraged by their claim that she snapped, "Nonsense! I’m the Queen Mother of Western Heavens. All treasures belong to me!" Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix were infuriated by her remarks. They protested by saying, "Heaven did not give birth to this pearl, nor was it grown on earth. It was carved and polished by us. It took us many years of hard work." Shamed and furious, the Queen Mother clutched the tray tightly while ordering her palace guards to eject Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix. But they fought their way back and were determined to snatch the pearl from the Queen Mother. The three struggled over the golden tray with all their might. As the tray shook amidst the tussle, the pearl fell off, rolled towards the edge of the stairs and then dropped into the air. Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix rushed out of the palace, trying to save it from being dashed to pieces. They flew beside the falling pearl, until it finally landed onto the earth. When it touched the ground, the pearl immediately turned into a clear, green lake. Jade Dragon and Golden Phoenix could not bear to part from it, so they changed themselves into two mountains, standing forever by the side of the lake. Since then, Jade Dragon Mountain and Golden Phoenix Mountain have quietly stood beside the West Lake. |
